The voices of the past should be preserved and in this case a moment in time with the voices of a little place in Rural South Carolina.

Here and No Further is a love letter.

I wrote this book out of love for my friends from long ago based on the memory of the time that we shared under the Carolina sun.

If you are one of the boys you might recognize names and places. You might see some of yourself in the characters. It is after all a memoir. But my memory is a hodgepodge of places and events. This is a work of fiction based on my memories.

It is impossible for me now to express my feeling for you all. Being a friend and having friends like this are the stuff of childhood. The years that pass puts distance in between us in more ways than one. My hope is that you read this and know that at one time you were my whole world.
